I worked with 2 other designers, a developer and a copywriter for this project in designing the homepage and first section of this site. We used the technique of parallax scrolling to help tell our story. They wanted to come back with something fresh and new. Their productions, which have garnered an impressive 42 Jeff Awards and 97 Jeff Award Nominations, are a diverse group of plays that bring a fresh view on classics as well as a few world primers. While at c|change, I designed their identity, website, guerilla marketing signs and a short video to kick off their new season. I was tasked at creating the logo, save-the-date video, and print invitation we sent out. The logo design was inspired by the old die cut trade cards from the late 1800s. The 10, which is incorporated throughout the entire branding, is based on the old film countdown reels. On the printed invitation, which is also to be hung up like a movie poster, I used the texture from the old scratched up movie frames. Inspired by the couples love for nature and the beautiful outdoor location of their wedding, I wrapped all the pieces of the invitation together with a light yarn and a small sheet of burlap to soften the feel of the entire piece. For the out-of-town guests, I also created a field guide to help in identifying flowers and plants on a hike. Lastly, I designed these large-format typographic pieces, that the bride and I hand painted. They were used to cover the open concrete walls of party room.
